In long-ago days, the Gulf Stream current that runs mere miles from the Florida Keys had helped fleets of sailing ships move vast stores of treasure from Havana to Spain. The route was expeditious, though riddled with danger—mainly from hurricanes, pirates, and challenging navigation.

Many vessels never completed that voyage. Today, buried under centuries of sand, lies a vast debris field of treasure, and finding it is only part of the challenge.

Political intrigue, corrupt bureaucrats, and modern-day pirates are just some of the challenges Mac Travis must face to recover what might be the biggest treasure of his life—and, perhaps, of all time.
